Ministry to Go
Anytime a Christian ministers to another; it should be on a spiritual level using the Bible and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Any Christian can minister because it consists of helping or praying for another person. The Bible supports the act of ministering as seen in 1 Peter 4:10: “As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” The gifts spoken of in this scripture refer to those of the Holy Spirit, and each Christian should be using these gifts as God bestows them for the building up of the Body of Christ. It is with the gifts of the Holy Spirit that I minister to those who have needs. Along with operating in the gifts of the Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit should also be apparent in anyone who ministers to another. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy,
peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith.” Galatians 5:22. Without the fruit of the Spirit, there is only power and authority. Jesus had a balance of the gifts and the fruit of the Holy Spirit in His ministry and we should model after him.
