Articles of Faith

Rainbow 1. I believe in one Triune God, comprised of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, not three gods, but three personifications of one God.

2. I believe that Jesus Christ was conceived in Mary, a virgin chosen by God, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

3. I believe that Jesus suffered, was crucified, died and was buried. In three days He arose from the dead, ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. By overcoming death in this manner He made a way for all mankind to have eternal life.

4. I believe that anyone who accepts Jesus into their hearts and believes that He is the Son of God can have eternal life. I believe that this declaration should be followed by water baptism but that the act of baptism alone does not save a person.

Jesus with fishermen 5. I believe that the Holy Spirit is the means by which Jesus lives inside a believer. I also believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit described in 1 Corinthians 12 are still for believers today, but the use of these gifts are not mandatory requirements for salvation.

6. I believe that Jesus will return to earth again at the appointed time to gather the believers who will then be with Him always for eternity.

7. I believe that The Holy Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and that the truth that is written therein can be trusted.
